2007년에 발표된 영화인데,

영화에 나온 휴 그랜트가

직접 불러서 화제가 된 곡입니다.

 

극중에서는

휴그랜트가 기타도치고 피아노도 치면서

작곡을 하고

 

 

드류베리모어가 작사를 해서 만든 노래입니다.

 

 

영화 줄거리는

휴 그랜트가 과거엔 인기가 좋았지만,

이제는 한물가서 작은 행사에서 노래를 부르며

밥벌이하는 가수입니다.

 

그런데 그에게 인기 최정상의 가수 코라 콜먼이

알렉스에게 같이 공연하자고 함께 부를 노래를

2주안에 만들어오라고 합니다.

알렉스는 오랜만에 곡을 만드려니 힘들어하는데,

화초를 돌보는 알바생 '소피'가 눈에 들어옵니다.

이 '소피'가 드류베리모어 입니다.

알고보니 작사능력이 있었고 노래를 같이 만들면서

서로 아픔을 조금씩 알게되고 점점 가까워 집니다..

 

영화에서 둘이 같이 맞춰 부르는데

멜로디도 좋고 가사도 좋습니다.

 

 

이 노래를 연습했던 옛날이 문득 생각나네요.
